Sojourner
Hanging Lake, Colorado. I was concerned that the dropping water table would have greatly impacted these falls, but as you can see they're still flowing… for now. This is a fraction of their peak flow, and the level of the pool at their base is alarming.
Still, I was having some fun with my newly cobbled together camera rig and perched high on a rock just outside the spray to work on some panoramic photograph of the falls and their patterns. Along the base of the far edge are a few rocks you can hop on to get to the beach where this fellow is standing. I'm not sure why he brought an umbrella, but I am very happy it's colorful.

The New View
Finally finished with the move. Cameras are unpacked and ready to be back in action. Seems like all the sunsets have been welcoming, but after the recent heat wave, this one, with the promise of rain, was tops.
